Fryaway Dream: The End
To know what happened until now, read Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4 and Part 5.
A swish and a flick of the God Potato's wand, brought Penji home to his mother. She was still crying, holding Penji's photograph, near the root. Seeing his mother cry made Penji so sad that he could go not take a step toward her. Oh, he must have behaved like a rotten fruit!
A swish and a flick of the God Potato's wand, brought Penji home to his mother. She was still crying, holding Penji's photograph, near the root. Seeing his mother cry made Penji so sad that he could go not take a step toward her. Oh, he must have behaved like a rotten fruit!
The God Potato smiled and placed a hand on Penji's shoulder, "Penji, my boy, you have been very good." But Penji would not listen, he knew he must have hurt her.
"I've been very bad and I ran away from home. I didn't think about my mother, she must have been so alone! She had to cook and clean and do all the chores. Oh, she must be so sore!" saying this, Penji cried and booed.
The God Potato smiled, watching the teary-eyed Penji, crying because he had hurt his mother.
The Godpotato said, "A mistake you made, but you're good and kind. Over there, Penji, your mother you'll find. Stay away more and your mistake shall grow. You're not with her, and it troubles her so. Your mistakes can be forgiven, ne'er mind. Go to your mother whom you left behind. Nobody and no body is all fine. You know that now and I think that is a sign. Don't cry, for you have now gained in wisdom. Now, 'tater, scoot over to your old mum."
Greatly encouraged by God Potato's words, Penji learnt not to brood. Holding back his tears, he walked over to his mother.
Penji said "Mother, mother, please stop crying, it brings to my eye a tear. Mother, mother, please look up, I'm right here."

And Mother Potato said, "Oh, Penji, my boy, how have I missed you, my son. I searched all the hills and searched all the valleys, but signs of you there were none. Your father left like this one day and he never returned, no matter, how hard I cried. And when you, too, left, it was like all the joy in the world had died."
And then Penji said, "I am sorry, mother, I never meant to hurt you. I just wanted to be a French fry, too. So to France I set off, where all the French fries they make. But I came across Godpotato by chance and he showed me how potatoes are cut and fried and put in ovens to bake. Now, I don't want to be a French fry, anymore. I'm just happy to be your baby potato."

And then Mother Potato said, "I'm so glad you finally understood. You've proven yourself to be wiser than your father ever could. Oh, I must thank fairy God potato. He always protects the good from all troubles and every foe."
So, Penji and Mother Potato turned around to thank Godpotato but like every fairy would, Godpotato could not be found standing, where he stood. Not being accustomed to too many fairytales, Penji was confused but his Mother told him that Godpotato had other responsibilities to shoulder. Mother told Penji to always be like the God Potato and help others and do good.
So, life went on for Penji and his mother.
And Penji no longer talked of leaving her.
He now turned good and happy and wise.
He looked into the mirror and this time, with a smile.

THE MOTHERF***ING END
Psst... Penji's story maybe over, but there are hundreds of Penjis out there who do not know about how the potato gets to the plate and walk into the trap. Spread awareness among the humans by sharing this article on Twitter or Facebook. For more great articles like this, Subscribe.
And don't eat potatoes.
Or any other vegetable. It's not good.
Really.
